Heritage Mandarin

Heritage Mandarin
In-Person • Thu 6:00–7:30 PM • Starts Oct 15
Who this is for: This class is specifically designed for learners with a Chinese family background who may have listening or spoken familiarity with Mandarin from home, but want to bridge the gap into formal literacy, reading, and structured writing. It is a small, supportive group class focused on building real confidence and practical skills.
Class Size: 3 to 6 students. We cap classes at 6 students to ensure everyone gets plenty of speaking and participation time. (Note: Classes require a minimum of 3 enrolled students to run. In the rare event a class does not meet the minimum, you will receive a full refund or a transfer to another time).
What you will learn:
Literacy & Character Expansion: Bridge your spoken familiarity with solid reading and writing skills.
Formal & Practical Vocabulary: Move beyond everyday family conversation into broader, more versatile vocabulary and sentence structures.
Reading Comprehension: Tackle engaging texts, stories, and essays from the Integrated Chinese curriculum.
Materials: We use Integrated Chinese (Books 3 & 4). Digital learning materials are included with your registration.
Tuition & Trial Offer: Tuition is $50/hour ($450 total for a 6-session block). Want to test the waters first? Join the first session as a Trial for just $50. If you love it and want to stay for the remaining sessions, your trial fee counts toward your total tuition.
